I never knew that a journalist's job could be so fun!  My favorite part of the
process was to interview different kinds of people. I have always wanted to become a journalist and this class motivated me even more!

I had a great time walking in a journalist's shoes ! I got to  interview different people from different classes.  Also, I got to write articles on the classes I investigated, and I wrote many more things as well! My favorite parts of the process were when I took photos ,  making the entertainment section, writing articles, and interviewing. This could be one of my future careers because I had a  great experience!!!

Now Is The Time!

To walk in a journalist's shoes was really cool. We got to interview lots of people and we wrote many stories. My favorite part of the process was taking pictures, where I got to takes pictures of a cooking class. Yum! Lastly, though it was fun, I wouldn't really want to be a journalist. To write without bias is a really hard thing to do, and I applaud all those who can do it.

I think being a journalist is really fun but it also takes a lot of work. There are a lot of steps to be a journalist and to write a newspaper. My favorite part of the process is to actually start writing the story you need to write. I also really loved taking photos and making the cross word puzzle and word search. Also being a news writer/journalist takes a lot of cooperation and team work. That's a big part of being a journalist. I really like writing so I think I might consider being a journalist when I grow up!

Walking in a journalist’s shoes was both amazing and interesting. You got to learn all the in and outs, cuts and deadlines and I learned so much about using the computer and writing intriguing stories. I learned how to expand on the articles I wrote such as my review, advice articles and ivy news story. I enjoyed writing and joking with my friends. I found it fun to write, work, learn and have fun at the same time. I sometimes found it difficult to format, transfer pictures and meet deadlines, but I am so glad that these challenges were overcome with help from a great teacher and friends. I love writing, but I don’t believe I want to become a journalist not because I don’t like it but because it is a hard job profession.  However,  I would love to make it a hobby!

When you are asked to make a newspaper in a week, what is the first thing you think? Oh, we’re never gonna make it in time? C’mon people, get to work we don’t have a lot of time? Well, it doesn’t matter what you think first as long as you get it finished in the end. The first thing you think as a journalist with a deadline is what do I have to do to get this done? Interviews, research, cite sources, edit, format, rewrite, rethink, photograph and SO MUCH MORE! At Ivy News, the first thing we did for the newspaper was interview the different classes for our news stories. We wrote editorials on celebrity worship and smartphone overdosage, feature stories and reviews. As a news team we worked separately and together. None of us expected the week to turn out the way it did but we all enjoyed it thoroughly and can’t wait to do something like this again! I loved doing this and might think of this as a future career for myself. I also loved working with my fabulous classmates and amazing teacher!

I really enjoyed making the newspaper because we learned about how to work in a group with other people. We also learned that teamwork is very important when making a newspaper.  This class made me love writing.I think the most difficult thing when making the newspaper is finding and writing interesting stories the readers would like. Overall, making a new paper is fun, but I don’t think I would consider journalism as a job but definitely a hobby!

What was it like to walk in a journalist’s shoes? Well, in my opinion, it was  a lot of fun.I got to create and contribute a lot of things to the camp newspaper. I created two news stories, one review, two word searches, and one page of jokes.
The things that I most enjoyed about the newspaper were making the word searches, taking the pictures and writing the youngsters news story. The most difficult thing I did there was writing the review. This class may have been fun but I don’t want to make it my career.

Walking in a journalist’s shoes was very fun and also a lot of hard work. Getting the information for the news stories was the hardest part. I had a lot of fun interviewing, making videos and taking pictures. Writing the stories was also very fun. I even got to interview my sister about the world of youngsters.  I would love to do this as my job when I grow up. I will probably make another newspaper by myself because now I know how. I loved walking in a journalist’s shoes!

It was/is interesting to be a journalist. Because I had always worked alone doing newspapers, I really learned what it means to be a journalist. I learned about the different roles people have such as reporting news stories, creating editorials, creating feature stories, and formatting the different parts of a newspaper. I contributed a lot. I made a feature story, helped make a news story, and took pictures. I also made an editorial. It was fun to write the editorial, but the formatting was very challenging. I learned about the different steps to making a newspaper. I would definitely consider being a journalist as a future profession and I would definitely recommend this career to other people.

It was fun walking in a journalist’s shoes for the first time. The jobs I had were writing a news story, taking videos, writing a sports story, and creating a word search. My favorite job was  the word search and the sports news. The hardest part about being a journalist was meeting the deadline for my sports story. I felt that I was a good journalist for the week, but I wouldn’t want to do it as a career. Overall, being a journalist when you’re a kid is fun!

I had a lot of fun walking in a journalist's shoes. Not only did I write and take pictures, but I formatted a part of the newspaper too. We got to interview people from different classes for the news story and turn the answers into stories. Then we got to take pictures of the classes which gave the reader a visual image. I got to help with the format while making two news stories about Robotics and Construction. Helping with the format was really fun yet challenging at the same time. Formatting the pictures was fun, but the format sometimes got glitchy and I had to fix that. After stepping into a journalist's shoes I realize that maybe journalism may be a future career for me!

I had fun walking in a journalist’s shoes. I have learned a lot about the process of making a newspaper. I was in charge of writing a news story, and my favorite part was writing the story for the sports section.  Overall, I learned a lot and met new friends. This was the best week of my life, and I would definitely consider Journalism as a career in the future!
